Brandon Lloyd
Brandon Lloyd is more than the media-infused stereotype of a varsity football player. He is artistically talented and a tough observer. His creative passion strives to point out the double standards in society. He focuses on bringing light to key points that have, intentionally, been pushed out of the spotlight. This unique literary talent shines through and captures readers of all ages in his poem Hypocrisy that appears in the compilation, "You Can’t Buy a Halo." Lloyd’s motivation and inspiration comes from his own chaotic life experience in the Sunshine state. Where he eclectically spends his days practicing Tae Kwon Do, volunteering, weightlifting and studying to keep his honor roll status.

Johanna Orr
Johanna Orr excels in the Arts. Her writing style echoes a well-rounded, city style, demeanor. While evoking an intriguing thought process, in the reader, that provides for perfect conversation over a good cup of coffee. Her concept piece "A Concept of Age" is featured in the compilation "You Can’t Buy a Halo." Her inspiration comes from a busy life of artistic endeavors. Such as her acceptance and attendance at two of Chicago’s most prestigious acting schools, Looking Glass Studio and Piven Studio. Orr is a philanthropist who most recently traveled to Ruiz, Nayarit Mexico, with the group Experienced Mission, to help a community by putting clay tiles on the roof of a church, laying foundations, building cinderblock walls and helping to repair the roofs of some of the houses in the area. Miss Orr is also a lead vocalist in The Happiness Club, a popular performance group that performs original upbeat songs and dances around the Chicago area.

Richie Gristak
Richie Gristak is probably best characterized as a Kerouac-and-Douglas Adams inspired writer with a severe case of unrequited wanderlust. Gristak was born in Denver, Colorado, and spent a great amount of his life there living, learning, and wondering what the hell he should be doing. At one time an aspiring film director, writer, and actor, he realized that he really couldn’t stand the mental stress of ordering large groups of people around, so he decided to work alone and become a writer. At least that way, he reasoned, he could realistically entertain the career option of locking himself in a dark room for weeks on end, emerging only every so often to purchase another case of beer. He is unavailable for comment at this time, though rest assured he is packed with promise. Gristak’s piece "Axis/Allies" is featured in the compilation "You Can’t Buy a Halo."

Artwork Contributors

Allison Kilcrease
Former model, ITV guest host and mother of one, Allison Kilcrease, of Sylvester Georgia, contributed her time and artistic talents, as an Executive Art Coordinator, to create bold, eclectic and obsessively detailed artwork for the short compilation EMOETRY. Kilcrease found inspiration for her artistic creations in her own life experiences, as a model, in New York City. Her scrapbook inspired scenes and statements left onlookers amazed. EMOETRY received high praise for Kilcrease’s dedicated work. Kilcrease will be creating layouts for the short compilation "Enchanted."
